Final Power Test

Anyone know how much longer i have to wait to get my letter to take the final power test? i just had my home interview last thursday.

I was told yesterday that letters for the April POWER test will go out at the end of March. Let's hope that the academy schedule stays on track!
Did your BI give you hope to be in the April class?

To anyone that knows, will the running part of the the power test be on a track or some other course?

If they do it at homan square it will be on an indoor track in a hot stuffy building.

My BI told me that it could be april or may she said definately before summer. Which realistically i dunno when it'll be.

Tell me about it...it was humid as hell and i felt like i was gonna slip and fall around the turns. Felt like i was runnin on wax!

We all did it there, once you do it there then you will be outside at the academy. You are lucky you werent in the academy in the winter like I was. They have the heat set up to about 500 and we ran our test indoors on the second floor. Heat rises.

Next Class

I've just been informed that the next academy start date is April 24. And there are 100 slots to be filled! Unfortunately, May and June classes will any have 50 slots open for each b/c of the summer.

Anyone know how long the academy is? is it 4-5 months or 6-8 months? im hearing something different from my police buddies. Thanks!

Somebody in one of these threads had some link with the start and end dates of the academy. The April 24th class ends on Sept 15th, so it says.
