  • Oral Board

Hi! I just found out I have an oral board at the end of the month! Is there anything I need to know besides dress nicely, be myself, be polite, etc? Any and all advice or tips will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Get as much information on the town that you applied for. It'll help if they ask questions about the government body as well as give you some meat to chew on when they ask why you want to work for that particular town. Do as much research on the department that you can. That helps too. Also practice your responses with someone. That helps make responses more fluent. Last thing you want to do is fumble over your words in front of 3-5 people.

Today, a detective from another department told me I should bring my resume with me. Anybody have anything thoughts on this?

Please refer to post 2 for all your needed questions. I know you're excited, but let the link help and guide you ma'am. Sometime gems are hidden right before our eyes.

You take sometime to read the post in its entirety. It's a marathon not a race and you want to make sure you understand the step processes.

            Again, good luck!
