    Can anyone give any insight on how they prepared physically (or mentally) for the Academy? Specifically SWIC. In addition how much running is done outside for the winter months? I have been training by running 2-3 miles 4/5 times per week. Should I step it up or what else should I be doing?

    Right there is good. You need to be fit enough to fight and run. Do sprints and floor work together, like CrossFit.
