Hillside PD 2014

Anybody have any info about this department (morale, volume of calls, type of calls, are they hiring)? I've been through Hillside a million times but I've only even seen a Hillside squad a handful of times.

Small burb with an expressway running through it. Borders somewhat rough towns. Town is going through a racial change. Heard good things about their Chief. Was there about a year ago on an investigation and the 2 guys that I talked to on the street liked the Dept. and were pretty good guys. Coppers seem pretty proactive.

Used to see them a lot in Maywood with dope arrests..that's about all I remember them having.

Just got back from the Hillside written exam at that school in Hillside. Anyone else take it today? I thought it was a good exam. I'm stoked ready to get otj. The chief seems like a good guy.

Only 25 out of that whole room get interviewed. Especially with such an easy exam. Good luck it's gonna be awhile

Almost. Top 24 out of the 293 who showed up. But if they go through those 24 and haven't made a decision they'll go with the next top 24 and so on.

I was there. Chief seemed look a good guy. Seems like a close knit pd. Definitely sounded like a place I would like to work!

Both true actually. I wouldn't apply somewhere I wouldn't want to work though. Not interested in Harvey PD from what I've heard or departments similar to that. Hope everything goes good with Hillside. I have more tests lined up that I will be taking soon.
