Does CC supply your duty weapon or do you have to buy it yourself?

I have a buddy on cc and you have to buy everything yourself he told me.

Hmm dunno where I got my info I guess that's why most say you need to save up before you start cc training maybe gun fee is there somewhere lol my bad

Maybe $3k for academy including gun. You buy your own stuff. For ccdoc

IDOC doesn't give you a gun. It's non sworn. Maybe at your post you have a gun.

I vaguely remember being sworn in at my IDOC graduation... Lol... That's not why we aren't assigned weapons. It's more for the fact that the state is retarded and only considers is peace officer's when convenient for the state... And also because idoc wants to account for everything, which is why we sign out equipment at the armory daily... It's a headache and I know no other department that does it, but yea!

I don't wear a vest or know anyone who does.

You'll be making enough not to worry about the discount.

Calls are going out for the February 22nd academy. My buddy got called yesterday. Sounds like I'll get crapped on again and not get called. I've had three buddies test once and get called. I've tested 5 times and never heard a damn thing. I think it's time to move on.

Never move on until your satisfied... It's okay to look elsewhere, but don't give up.

I've heard of people getting hired on with scores in the high thirties low forties.
