They are a busy town with every type of call you can imagine. The towns I work for have assisted them with shootings, stabbings, and armed robberies multiple times.

I don't know what you mean by 'good or bad' department, but I really don't know anything about moral, department attitude, policies, anything like that.

Berwyn is still a pretty decent burb, borders on Cicero and Oak Pk., so you get a lot of the bangers there. Used to work a bordering burb before CPD,and Berwyn was always pretty active. Chief is a good guy, Real POLICE (Retired CPD LT., last running the tac unit in 003 and prev.Narc Sect.), not uncommon to have him roll up on a job or have 4 guys spread out on the ground. There is some crap areas (around Oak Pk-19th/21st) w/ sec.8 apts. Grew up in the area and it has changed over the years and not for the best..The shifts were either straight watches or rotated every 90 days, don't know if they were 8 hrs. Habla Espanol is a plus..

I speak Polish, do they have a Polish community there?

Some, but was mostly Bohemian and Italian before Mexicans started moving in..

Chief spoke at my graduation, seems like a great guy. I know a couple of guys that work for that dept. and they don't complain.
