Anyone testing for them, or anyone have any info about the department?

I tested with them for a Police Dispatcher position during their last round of testing (April of this year 2008). Anyway's, I got to the interview portion, filled out a background packet and never heard anything back. I contacted them about a month later and was told that they decided to hire another candidate.

As far as the interview goes, it was pretty laid back. They asked straight forward basic questions. The interview also consisted of the Chief, Deputy Chief, and the female commander. Overall, it seemed like a decent department.

Just food for thought, they seem to pay pretty well, and from what I've heard, their Chief is pretty top notch. He always makes sure that his Officer's have what they need (heard this directly from an Officer who knows LB Officer's).

Their application was the longest I ever filled out. When I printed it out it was about 35 pages. 10 pages were just info, so you had to fill about 25 pages of background info.
