Don't know about the process but they have good equipment. The Atlanta Braves stadium is moving there (I believe 2017) so they're probably going to be doing alot of hiring.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. —

Cobb County commissioners voted unanimously in favor of a new budget that includes a plan to enhance the police force.

Cobb County Public Safety Director Sam Heaton says supporting the budget shows a commitment to public safety.

Under the new budget, the county has approved hiring additional police officers to transition into 10-hour shifts. It allows for a take-home car program.

Channel 2’s Jade Hernandez says officers will begin to see differential pay at the beginning of next year.
