JCPD is taking applications for the 2014-2015 hiring list. HR application cut off is September 1st, 2014. The annual applicant test day wil be September 27th. Test day consists of a physical fitness test (see PD website) and a written exam. Those who pass will later have a board interview. PT is pass-fail, written and board interview are competitively scored. Top scorers are placed on the highly qualified list and new hires are chosen from the list throughout the year as needed. JCPD will be hiring next year, but the official number has yet to be determined. Sworn officers preferred, but non-sworn high scorers will be considered. Take home cars within 25 miles of the city limits. Great pay and benefits. Salary range is $40k-$60k for slick sleeve patrol officers TBD. Good luck -
