October 23rd Academy in Athens?

Anyone else in this class other than myself. Pre-service here, but still in the class Class 234.

Good luck man! I know you're going to do extremely well. Keep us posted though . I received an email today from Mechelle, and it looks like I'm in the January class. It's not 100% yet because she has to set the seats, but I'm that much closer. Due to the possibility that work may shut me down on the whole 10 weeks thing, I called Reinhardt college about the night class, it seems that even with the P2 form, I have to go through their app process...not sure if I want to pay for all of that again. I guess I need work to say yes

I found out today that one of my wifes employees step father will be part of my class. He is with Lumpkin County. It looks like they are pulling him out of the jail and sending him to the academy. So, I guess it looks like I kind of know someone, kind of

I believe Lumpkin just got the go ahead to hire 4 deputies for the new judicial center.

Fulton County Traning Academy Seems to be going slow as hell. They seem so unorganized and I have yet to have my interview yet. Maybe I should have choose some other place

Congrats on the P2. I wouldn't call it fun, more like sitting in a class room all day going over integrity. It is amazing some of the stupid **** people have done to end their LE careers I guess that is the majority of the academy. Spoke to class before me that is in their sixth week; they said it picks up quite a bit once DT starts. Pretty pumped at just the opportunity to be there. There are around 9 of us that are pre-service. Majority are from SO and had been in the jail for some time. A handful are from PD, so of course they went directly to the academy. I will let you know how it goes for me.

Not yet. Spoke to the other class and they said mostly just obstacle course and push ups and situps for them. They said it changes from class to class. The class before them did 1.5 mile runs. Dont know what we will get. Looking forward to what ever comes since I no longer have time to go to the gym being in the academy.

Mailed in my application packet to ACCPD back in March, never got a response. Called for a few weeks in April trying to find out what happened to it.... Still, no one could give me a straight answer. I have moved on. Good luck to those of you who were fortunate enough to have been contacted.

i was in class 231. we never did mile and half runs. its amazing what people will tell you.
