Academy Instructor

Georgia has many different Academy how do you become an Instructor of one of the State Academies?

I imagine you would apply through POST. Thats a good question. I wondered that myself last time I was at GPSTC.

Southeast Georgia RPA just had a job a opening for an Instructor position.

You do realize that you have to already have your General Instructor certification at a minimum, right?

yea of course Im not looking to become instructor anytime soon I just have wonder about that for a very long time.

They removed the job posting but IIRC the basic req's were 5 years LE experience with General Instructor cert at a minimum. It was highly preferred that you were EVOC, DT, and Firearms Instructor. I want to say that the pay started ~32K but had a wide range BOE.
