I was going to show up in the morning in swim attire. Good question though. I’ll let you know since I go at 9

The questions for the interview or weird to be honest. I couldn’t tell if they liked me or not laugh my *** off. They asked basic questions about FWC and they just sit there and write down your answer. However they don’t tell you good job or anything. So it’s kind of a tossup. Like someone stated earlier you can get to the pool early I believe. I was slated to swim at 9 AM and there was like 10 other people there. And then at the PAT there was a solid 15 people. So they’re just pushing people through. I scored PAT in six minutes and 30 seconds. I did however bring the wrong goddamn suit LOL. So I had a black suit with brown shoes and a brown belt. There were no tricky questions on the interview though. It was almost mundane as if they’re just trying to pick the people that they like the best. The questions like I said we’re not hard or difficult they were just pretty straightforward. I am Using talk text so if this doesn’t make sense I’m sorry.

What did you guys think of the interview? I interviewed in the other building not the main one. It was a strange interview.

How’s the parking for PAT and swim test. I drive an oversized truck and can’t park in a garage. So my question is do we need to park in a garage and/or do we have to pay to park?

Lol, you won't have a problem. For the swim part we were advised to park behind the swim center off of Chieftain Way. If you park in the front off of Varsity, we were advised they were ticketing.
-
Not only will they ticket but sometimes they will tow your car and you get to play hide and go seek for your car

I meant the interview was weird as in like there’s probably going to be another one or a more meet and greet. I also think the later you go in the week the more burnt out they are on listening to people say the same things.

Yeah I saw the list of people who were attending. Idk if it was just for that day or if it was for everyone. I’m assuming over 200 people applied easy.Last edited by Setj3860311; 07-25-2021, 10:29 AM.

I just finished with the testing and interviewing today and I ran into a girl who said she was a dispatcher for FWC. She said 541 applied this year.

MHenry_FWC hopefully that’s before qualifying with PAT & swim.. that’s a lot of people to cut. Jeeze.

Yeah exactly, I think this interview was to separate people who could simply answer question and talk to people. I imagine there will be another interview. I wonder how many positions they are looking for.

I really don't think there will be a second interview.. according to their information after this interview they will make their selections and then some of us will move on to the background and others will not move forward. I could be wrong, but this is just my conclusion based on the information FWC has provided thus far.

Yeah there’s no telling, and maybe not an “interview” but definitely a meet and great type deal before you get a conditional I’d assume. Based off that interview and the amount of people. They don’t know anyone.
I tried to search and find how many vacancies they had but I couldn’t find anything. I hate waiting haha!

There will not be anymore steps before selections. You would be surprised who has made a point to be a common face amongst the agency while applying.

Looking over some secondary sources it looks like there are between 540-560 remaining applicants.
I would not assume anything further than the information provided by FWC, I do not see them extending the application process out any further and they’ve provided no information hinting at a “meet and greet” or anything of the like.
Those who have been selected after the interview process will be assigned a background investigator and receive a “moving forward” email. Others will not, our interview was the one chance we had at expressing ourselves. Besides that, just try to keep in touch with the Officers you know and stay involved.
-
Also your PAT time is taken in to account if you and someone else were to tie. Also if you are a familiar face that also works in your favor. It helps to have gotten close with a officer or even in contact with the recruiter.

I wonder how many of the 540 or so got knocked out with the PAT. I know in the time frame I was there, I was the only who passed. Not sure how many females applied but they mentioned not many had made the time requirement during the week, I was on Saturday so the last day.

How many times has everyone applied? Have you guys applied to the other posting as well just in case?

No, I’m feeling confident regarding this application cycle. & also I don’t want to sound superstitious but I would feel like it’s bad juju to apply to the next one before this is over.
-
I applied last year, but was cancelled for Covid. I have an application in for the November process as well. The best way to land a fish, is to have multiple lines in the water.
-
Applied in 2019 but tore ACL right before PAT. Again in 2020; cancelled due to covid. So technically 3 times but first time getting to actually go through the interview process.
