I am also. I’m excited but very nervous! I’m most worried about the time limit.

I'm coming down from Maryland. Did you have any problems booking anything? I had a heck of a time finding a rental car.

Hey guys good luck to everyone.

Don't forget your waivers and signed physical forms.

To anyone who has done the PAT already, is it inside the facility or outside?

Im eager to know when the start dates will be if they are even going to discuss it.

There was no discussion on start dates.

Swim test was not bad, PAT test is done indoors in the center of the facility.

We were given time to change and prepare for the interview after the PAT test.

Are they giving any answers on whether you have passed or if they want to hire you? It sounds anti climatic and I am on the edge of my seat HAHA

No sir, there were three officers interviewing and each one takes turns asking questions and then they score you on each question.

There was no discussion for whether we passed or not because this whole week they'll be pouring through all possible candidates.. expect to hear back in 4 to 6 weeks. I know the wait is killer. From the guys I spoke to there a good amount were there for their second and third time through the process, so it must be really competitive.

PAT was not bad. Christian passed with like two minutes to spare and I passed with a minute to spare. Just eat a nice light breakfast with healthy carbs before.

Hey guys all in all it was a very fast paced day. Once you get to the pool everything after that is pretty fluid you do your swim head to civic center do your PAT which is on basketball court where FSU plays then after PAT you are headed to get dressed and do your interview. My advice is even though you are on a time crunch to get to your interview and you feel rushed. Take a moment to breathe and collect your thoughts.

Also when you are doing your PAT leave it all out there run as hard and fast as you can. Do not leave precious seconds on the clock, because if you are going slow they will call you out for it and they are not shy to tell you that you are not gonna cut it. They take notice of who is busting their *** and who is not. Even when you think they aren't mentally grading you they probably are.

On the basketball court that’s interesting. Did they lay down carpet/turf for the dummy drag and scuffle?

Also questions asked during the interview were they what you expected or did any of them catch you off guard?

They took up the wood floors. So everything is done on concrete, they laid down sport tur for the sled. But the dummy is done on concrete.

Yeah sorry SaltyDog I should have specified. No wood floors concrete.

Are the distances on the PAT actually the distances stated? Example being like on the pat you would run 50 or 100 ft to the next component. Are they actually the distances stated or are they right next to eachother. How is the sled? I’ve been practicing a lot for it as I feel it is probably the hardest part of the test.

The distances are exactly as stated. The sled isn't as hard as
          you think.You'lll be fine

Were you the only one doing the swim and PAT or were there other people waiting in line behind you to go?

What kind of questions were they asking?

So when I went there were 3 lanes we used one person per lane. They were asking where we were from simple small talk while we waited to get in the pool. As for the PAT they have two courses setup. Typically once someone makes it halfway through the PAT they will send someone else to start.

Hi y’all! First time posting a question. The one thing I haven’t seen asked about is the ropes component, which follows the scuffle. If that was something that needed to be done this year, how was it?

The ropes make the scuffle easy because it gives your legs a little break in between each scuffle pass.

Hey guys! I’m going through the process tomorrow at 10:00 am. As for the swim portion, are we given the opportunity to change into swim attire before the swim test or would you recommend showing up ready to go?
