***This will be a panel interview, at least 2-4 other LEO's will be there.
***The biggest and most common things they ask in interviews, and things you need to know are...
1.) Memorize the Mission Statement by heart - 90% of agencies will ask you this.
2.) Have something prepared to tell them if they ask you to tell them about your self.
EX: I've Lived in FL a majority my life I love wildlife, my hobbies are the XYZ (you tell them what is not on your resume)
3.) Why do you want to be a FWC Officer? Wrong Answers are I want to drive fast and get into shootings
4.) What do you know about FWC? Watch the recruiting YouTube Videos, they are loaded with info
5.) What does FWC Stand For? Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
6.) BRING 5 COPIES OF YOUR RESUME.
7.) Executive Director Eric Sutton is the highest position in FWC.
8.) Shake everyones hands.
9.) Its a panel interview so make sure you are looking at everyone when you speak.
10.) Do not lie. They can usually bend the rules some if they like you. If you lie though I promise you will not get job in the state.
11.) If you do not know the answer simply tell them you do not know it, but you know where you can find the answer.
12.) RELAX - The interviews are not bad. just remember to be honest, be professional, yes sir no sir, look them in the eyes, shake their hands and when you leave tell them thank you for the opportunity.
13.) Don't be afraid to ask a question or two at the end.
14.) Watch the recruiting FWC you tube videos. they are loaded with information.
They will ask you, what do you know about the FWC and you better have a better answer than the ride in boats. Talk about how many miles." FWC officers provide wildlife and marine law enforcement services along Florida's saltwater coastline and 37 million acres of land and freshwater."
15.) They have different units, and which ones are you interested in. (Dive Team, K9, Investigations.......)
16.) Arrive 10-15 minutes early for your interview if possible.
17.) If suits are required, make sure you don't look like a soup sandwich.
If you guys have any other questions let me know.
Even Academy questions.
