An officer called me today and said I was flagged because the psychologist said "you're dealing with life events that made you unqualified" I don't know what kind of **** that is, I'm not dealing with anything and I certainly didn't tell Dr. Perez anything that would make me "unqualified " this hiring process is absolute BS

I understand. If you’re interested you can use the search bar to read about Dr. Perez. Quite a few forums mention her. Also you maybe be able to dispute the psych results from what I’ve read. But most people said it’s not worth it. Again I’m sorry man and I wish you luck with whatever route you take

FDLE might be able to help. FDLE governs over all qualifications. They would probably be the most help. They are awesome to talk to as well. Also if you really want to dive deep you can always email a higher ranking officer over recruiting. It might screw you over or help.

Just finished psych evaluation. I had a bald male guy and he wants me to send in all my va evaluations and paperwork because of ptsd.

So I emailed the psych back and basically told him I’m not providing him with any of my va disability paperwork. I told him I chose not to disclose. I asked him the reading to needing the va paperwork and asked him if he was a qualified va medical doctor licensed to review it. I also asked him if everyone he spoke with needed to submit their medical documentation. I haven’t heard back. There’s no reason for him to review this just for the sake of reviewing it.

It’s all because the box that asks if you have any va disabilities. So I messaged the lady who was giving us the test and I said per ada laws I don’t have to disclose this if I’m not asking for accommodations. She said I had too.

its bs, it’s pretty much discrimination. Did anyone else have to provide medical history for when you hurt your self? How about has anyone experienced anything tragic but just hasn’t gone to see a shrink?

I'm certainly not an expert but I'd think you're going to be disqualified. WTF is the point of "Veteran's Preference" if they seem to look at us as broken or messed up due to our service. I'm begging to get to a point that's making me not want to wok for these clowns

I didn’t even claim veterans preference and I told them I’d not submit any of my paperwork it’s against the ads laws. Also I’m not requesting special acceptance due to disabilities. I also told him I’m not sending my medical records because non vets didn’t have too.

Setj3860311 So I took my psych eval yesterday and in the form that we sign it mentions having to submit mental health records if requested or they can not complete evaluation. I don't know rules for military guys but that's just what I read.

From what I’ve gathered all of us will not find out if we are moving on to medical until all of the psych/background are complete for everyone. +/- 10 candidates still in process

Took my psych eval yesterday. Did anyone else think that the interview was overly short ?

Mine was 20 mins. Everyone’s interview time depends on PHQ answers and however many questions psych has regarding your answers. Plus the few character questions they ask

Took mine yesterday as well. My interview with the Psychologist lasted maybe 10-15 mins. Everything seemed to go well.

I still haven't been contacted regarding the background, but I'd imagine they'll only really need to reach out if they need additional info from me.

What do y’all think about us getting another conditional with our county when we start medical? I just can’t see them waiting all the way until they send out final offers to tell us which county we’ll be working in

I’m not sure I think you get your county once you get the actual offer, but something weird I realized last week I emailed gabby and she replied saying that we wouldn’t know how we did on our psych or on our background until everyone else is done yet a few people on here have said they received a letter saying that didn’t make it?? So I’m definitely confused about that

Nothing to be confused about. People that fail background/psych will be told right away with a no go letter. Us that have finished and haven’t heard are most likely moving on. You and I are the only ones on the forum I believe that have been waiting since august. I’m certain the reason why they’re making use wait is because they want us all to be processed for medical at once.

10-4 someone must have failed or dropped out. If you scroll back a few pages I said a few things about the psych. I’m no expert at all and this was my first attempt at one.

Just be honest and consistent with your answers. That’s the best advice I can give really. Make sure you pay close attention to the question because if you don’t read the True/False questions carefully you’ll answer incorrectly on the already negative questions. I feel this questions trip a lot of people up

Depending on when final offers from FWC come out though I might have to accept offer I have with local PD prior to finding out about FWC. I’m slated to go to local academy 10/18 which my background said they’re not finalizing everything BI wise until 10/31.

Playing both cards right now bc FWC was my first choice but I might do a couple years at city PD then transfer over to y’all.
