I was wondering if anyone could give any recent insight to how the FHP is. Some of the previous posts are outdated but have good information in them. I was wondering how the current moral is on the department, and the academy life. Thank you for any input.

Most of the information still holds true. FHP are underpaid. Morale, depends who ya ask. If you're looking to run and gun this isnt the agency for you. Think of it as highway security. Crash to crash, aiding disabled motorists etc...... All goes down to the type of cop ya wanna be. End of the day, it's a solid job with great benefits.
