Police Academy Salary

Hello Everyone,

I am in the hiring process for MDPD and I recently attended the orientation. The officer speaking to us told us that the starting salary in the ACADEMY is 41k. IS this correct? I thought it was closer to the 30k's? Thanks!

If they said it going to be 41K in the academy its going to be 41K and when you finish the academy and pass the state exam, they will give a 5% more. When you pass FTO its another 5%, and after one year of passing the academy another 10% and a take home car, that I was told. I could be wrong.
