Out of State Transfers

Anyone know about out of state transfers, the process, who to contact, etc? I currently work in Indianapolis, Indiana and and looking to relocate. Thanks!

What part of Florida do you want to relocate to?
Some agencies will sponsor you to an Equivilancy of training academy. (EOT)
Mine did, 2 weeks in St. Pete.
After that, you must take and pass a state exam.
Depending what agency, an FTO program, mine was 12 weeks, then off on your own...

Actually Tampa/Clearwater area would be ideal. Would you suggest just contacting the agency and see what they would need from me? Thanks again!

Personally I wouldn't, they get inundated with these questions.

BR2125, I don't think you're going to be able to get hired on as a lateral officer in Florida without being certified. From what I've seen in most of your posts, you're a MCSD building deputy (Special Deputy) correct? I don't think that Florida will take that into account. Just from my research on moving down that way.
