  • Juvenile Crime

If you want a good scare, you don't need to read a Steven King novel. You don't need to see the lates horror movie. All you need to do is go to the juvenile court house. Everyday kids as young as 9 are being charged with crimes ranging from agg battery, car jacking, armed rape, and 1st degree murder.

In Volusia County, 3 juveniles 19,10,and10, beat a homeless man. They kicked and punched him, then hit him in the face with bricks. The State is considering whether to direct file on them as adults.

Judges are frustrated by having their hands tied by Juvenile Justice system. I have watched these thugs stand in front of a judge with smirks on their faces. They are void of any remorse. Here in Orange County we charged a 10 13 year old as an adult for killing a guy over his hub caps.

Make sure all of you stay alert and safe, when dealing with these little thugs.

I really hope that this big push lately to get the Juvenile system to give kids sentences that will actually stop them from turning into major criminals works. You will always have that 13 year old that up and decides to kill someone out of nowhere, but when a kid does something that would get him years in prison as an adult, but he only gets probation since he's a juvenile, all you're teaching him is that he can screw with people all he wants without ever having to pay.

I think that a large part of it is lack a parental guidance. I think that in certain cases where the parents are so indifferent as to what their kids do, the parents should be charged.

I agree, some parents are brain dead when it comes to their crum snatchers. I seen an increase in the number of parents and grandparents beaten by these thugs. I can still see the razor strap my dad kept behind the bathroom door. Channel 9 is doing a program next Tuesday night at 8 about juvenile crime. Judge Johnson is a leader in trying to change the laws dealing with juveniles.

I 100% agree with all of that. However, the government can't really change how parents raise their kids. The government CAN change the way they are dealt with when they get out of hand.

I once dropped an f*** bomb in front of my mother when I was about 10. I will not get into details, but it never happened again if you get my drift. I was VERY far from perfect growing up. One of my friends always joke about how they let me become a cop. But for God Sake, I never held up a 7-11, and I sure as hell never hit a girl. Kids need to have their asses kicked every now and again to keep them in line. But what do I know, I just never got in trouble with the police, obeyed my parents, and became a cop..............
