FWC Application Ending Date 12-31-15

We might as well start a new thread for this group. I made to the interview board last time.

I thought I did well since I have about 13 years as a LEO in Florida and used to sit on my old department's oral board interviews.

Guess I was rusty though since I'd been out of LE since 2001.

Ready for round two... ding ding!

I havn't submitted my app yet for this process. I'm currently in the background portion of of the previous process. But if I don't make it then I will be reapplying for this deadline.

This is my first time applying to FWC. I have already submitted the applications/documents for this window and will be waiting for January to roll around. I'm a non-certified applicant coming from active military. Good luck to everyone!

They just have their physical and psych tests... they start in the Academy in March.

This will be my 3rd. time around. The first I had to drop out due to getting hit by a drunk driver while working a traffic crash. Makes it hard to pass the P.A.T. with a fractured leg. This past round was due to no openings in my county. I'm just resubmitted for this round. My disadvantage is that I don't want to move. Heard there were several fixing to retire soon, so hopefully I can get in. I'm retired (30 Years) from the local PD, and now wanting to get into FWC. Good luck everyone.

You may have some problems getting hired if your not willing to move. I've been told in the past that if you say your not willing to move they put your app. To the side and only consider it if there is not enough qualified applicants. It may have changed or I may have gotten bad information though. What county are you wanting to get, and have you talked to them about a reserve positron?

I'm looking for Bay County. Northwest Florida. I know several of the guys here that are fixing to retire. When I retired from my agency, I stayed on the Reserve there. I will check into the reserves for FWC. Didn't know they had a program. Thanks.

I talked to a retired polk sheriff deputy who told me he was a reserve wroth FWC, he could be blowing smoke my way bit work looking into. Also from what I've heard it's hard to get a county up there.

I got booted after the interview. I thought I did well. I've passed three and was hired. Maybe I was a little too relaxed, but didn't act cocky at all.

In other news... I'm going to start the process for the Alaska State Troopers. I think I have a winter coat around here somewhere.

I always thought about AST especially having my pilots license, but too damn cold!!!!
