I just applied for the exam. 5/30 at Rentschler. Any idea on how many officers they are looking to hire? Also anyone know when the state will be hiring Corrections officers?

Not sure about your first question but as for corrections, I'm hearing this coming July...

"The results from the written test will be available on the DAS website from June 30,
2014 (1:00 PM EST) through September 30, 2014 (1:00 PM EST)."

Does anyone know if all the test results go up on June 30th or just to expect your results to go up between June 30th and September 30th? And if so, do they hold the physical portion of the hiring phase after September or is it anywhere between June and September?

Depends on rank and what step you are on, I hear it's 50k once you're out of the academy tho. Not a bad start.

All state colleges except uconn. DEP and dept of motor vehicle there maybe more but thats what falls under the protective services trainee. They pull from the same list trooper trainee I believe and the list is good for two years.

I was reading the recruitment section of the Uconn employment page and it says "Applicants must be P.O.S.T. Certified Police Officers in the State of Connecticut or have a current valid State of Connecticut Protective Services Trainee (Police) exam score."

So do you just have to apply separately if they have openings? Essentially DAS doesn't forward passing scores of applicants over to their agency?
