Any police forces in Connecticut where there is no age limit to join

I'm 39 and in NY, pretty much every police force in NY has an age limit of 35 to join
NYPD, Westchester, Yonkers, Mount Vernon etc.
I'm curious if its the same in Connecticut?

I've never seen any CT town posting or applications with an upper age limit restriction. Is that legal in CT?

I do notice that POST physical fitness standards have a 60-69 age bracket http://www.ct.gov/post/cwp/view.asp?a=2058&q=291922

You should be good to go in most if not all cities in CT, including the State Police.

I am 42 and have tested for several departments in CT. There is no upper age requirement.

I was 45 when I was hired and did just fine. However, I was concerned with age discrimination. The way it was explained to me, if you are [physically capable] of holding your own, the maturity, and past work experience brought to the job is very attractive to the potential employer.

CT has many possibility's for anyone at any age, as long as you are 21 and over. Try New Haven or the Hartford PD, they are hiring right now. Good Luck!

The only states in the northeast that I'm aware of that have many, if any, departments with age restrictions are NJ, MA, and NY, and in MA, it's usually only the civil service towns that have an age cap; the non-CS towns will usually take you provided you don't need a walker to chase down a suspect. I don't know of any departments in CT that have age limits.

To my knowledge, no. None in New Hampshire, Maine, or Rhode Island either.
