I've read almost everything available here on the DOJ special agent hiring process, but I'm going through something slightly different, so I figured I'd post here and maybe get additional info.
I spoke to the personnel contact and she stated DOJ anticipates contacting special agent trainee applicants by mid December to early January if we've moved on to the background phase/PAT. She couldn't confirm if they will contact the applicants who weren't chosen. Anyone know if applicants not chosen will receive contact or is it after a month or two of no contact, they likely moved on? Also, I've read a little bit about academies for special agent trainees on the forums. Is it true all trainee agents will be grouped and sent to one academy for them only or do they get sent to, for example, Sac Sheriff academy with everyone else who has been accepted?
