Hey everyone, just wondering if any CHP officers are here? i just turned in my application. just looking for any advice on the tests, any helpful comments or suggestions. thanks

Testing

The test is very simple now. You are not required to write an essay. You can get an example of the test off the CHP website.

Some pointers:

Make sure you are a good runner, 3-4 miles every other day.
Do judo push ups and regular push ups, 200.
Do lots of squats, arms folded in front, 200-300.
Learn your 10/11 codes well in advanced.
That should prepare you well in advance, I know from personal experience.

I just took the exam yesterday, it's definitely passable. One thing to add to the above posts... take it one step at a time and take it very seriously because all of the CHP officers I've met take recruitment very seriously and you get a feeling of that even at the written.
