I have a friend that works for them and when he was in the jail, they worked 12's and now he is on patrol and works 3-12 hour shifts with an 8 hour payback shift. I am not sure if they work 4-10's anywhere except for maybe special assignments.
I know that SBCSD work 4-10 hour shifts a week up in the Morongo Basin area. Hope that helps!

It depends on your assignment and station. Some of the stations here run 4 12's (yep mandatory OT) others do 4 10's. Thats for patrol. Courts are 5 8's and jail is 3 12's with an alternating 4th day I believe.
Well on paper minimum time is 2 years max is 3 years. Typically lately it has been about 18-20 months before you go out to patrol. Seems to be a little less for those in the jail rather than courts but from I have seen that seems to be the going time. Hope that helps.
