On the STD678 I put 8 of my jobs, and there were only 8 spots...On my PHS I put my complete work history.

I didn't put attempted drug use on my PHS but when my BI mentioned even attempted use I put it on my one I filled out in initial interview. I haven't been DQ. yet. Did you take your CVSA?

No CVSA for me. I got called in for an investigative interview, and that was it. Next step would have been the CVSA.

That's whack. It was definitely not your fault and it could have been easily overlooked if they would have gave you an opportunity to explain. Your BI was probably very picky.

I feel ya, but it is what it is. Most of my group got DQ'ed, for one reason or another. Im gonna reapply as soon as they process it.

Pretty much just a 1 on 1 w/ your BI to wrap up your background investigation

I can't say for 100% but based on my experience and the experience of other applicants I know, any time their BI said final interview it was just informally going over details of the background and informing them that they have been recommended for hire (aka passed backgrounds).

Hey bro which codes are you recommending, vehicle codes, penal codes, or the 10-codes? I went to the Sheriffs academy last year and a lot of our codes to know were penal codes. Which do the CHP academy have you learn weekly?

my buddy just got out. Said know your 10 codes before you go in. And the chp mission statement and what the points of the star mean

Congrats sir! I'm waiting to clear medical and for psych oral appointment. Hoping to join you in the next Academy class. When does next class begin? I believe it's in late September, but unsure of date.

I believe CTC III-17 starts October 2nd.

Stick with it. I applied 11/2014 made it to psych and got DQ'd. Reapplied and waited my year sat with psych last month and got word last week I passed. Just waiting for CalHR doc to sign my medical off.

Why did you get DQ on psych? Does it usually take that long for dr to sign off on medical?

Unless you appeal the decision you don't find out the exact reason why. CalHR doc only comes into CHU about once a week or so. Should have a final decision by Friday. Meaning invite beginning of July fingers crossed.
