I was in Class 7 and I will be returning to finish with class 8. Would my T-score from class 7 work?

I guess the only people that can take the physical exam tomorrow had to be @ the orientation on 11-5-09, otherwise you shouldn't bother showing up. That is unless you were at the world of criminal justice class and signed up as part of the extended class.

From what I understand, 1) Increasing number of self sponsored which is basically requiring the survival of the fittest, and 2) They rather know who can pass the POST test(s) before the academy starts rather than than two months into it.

It is a new state-wide POST requirement for admission to the academies.

Important news for pre-service cadets attending Rio Hondo 194 & Ext. #8
FOR CLASS 194 AND EXTENDED/RESERVE CLASS #8
Acceptance to the Police Academy (PAC 040) is dependent on successfully passing the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Work Sample Test Battery and Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery.
All pre-service candidates for the police academy will be required to take the POST Work Sample Test Battery (physical test) and score a minimum of 384 points in order to be admitted into the academy. The test consists of a six foot solid wall, a six foot chain link fence, a 99 yard agility run, a 165 pound dummy drag, and a 500 yard run. The test will be given on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 7:00AM and again on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 7:00AM at the Rio Hondo Police Academy. There will be a $5.20 (exact change if paying in cash) fee for the test.
All pre-service candidates for the police academy will be required to take the POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (written test) and achieve a minimum T-Score of 35 in order to be admitted into the academy. It is a two and one half hour test that measures reading and writing skills. For those who have not taken the test or wish to re-test, it will be given on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8:00AM at the Rio Hondo Police Academy. For those who have taken the test at a different location, a copy of the results with the T-Score must be submitted.
These are the test dates for Class 194 and Extended/Reserve Class #8 only. Test dates for future classes will be announced at a later time.

Remember they're requiring two different test: POST Work Sample Test Battery and the POST Entry Level Law Enforcement Test Battery. Pre-service cadets ONLY, not agency sponsored.Tags: None
