Need a CHP report

I am going through backgrounds and need a copy of an accident report. I was involved in an accident a few years back in a company vehicle. I called my old employer to obtain a copy and they never return my calls. I have no info on the TC other than an approx date and location. What do I do? Will that be enough infor for CHP to pull up the report? If so, can I go to any CHP office?

All you need to do is list the date, time and location of the incident. The BI should be able to track it down if it is an integral part of your BI. That question is to find out if you are a habitual bad driver and have numerous incidents - which would indicate an aggressive driver/behavior.

If your BI wants additional information, s/he will be able to assist you in how to obtain a copy of the report. Also, DMV may have it listed on your printout if a police report was made or a SR 1 form was filed. But, again, not a big thing you need to worry about as long as you have the basic information and provide it honestly.

Might also want to give the insurance company a buzz. Usually they follow-up with obtaining the reports when they do their collision investigation.
