Got a Call From LASD Today...

When I woke up I had a voice mail from a BI from LASD.

It said that all backgrounds were put on hold due to to budget crisis.

That's it. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

I got a simular call from my BI at Ventura County Sheriff's Dept a couple weeks ago.......Not a fun call to get.

A buddy of mine told me recently that Orange County Sheriffs told him the same thing, hiring freeze....

I never thought LAPD, LASD and other large agencies would be put on a freeze.

What about CHP, anyone know if they are actively recruiting?

Just FYI, Chino PD in San Bernardino Co. is testing for lateral and academy grads. They've had two PAT's this past Sept., one at Rio Hondo and another at SBSO Academy. Written tests are waived.
