  • There sure are a lot of two man CHP units out there.

I’m assuming there are a bunch of new guys on FTO?

I commute about 50 miles along 101 through Monterey County and Santa Clara County. 7am to 9am

I can’t get to work without seeing at least three CHP 2 man units along that stretch.

It’s just an observation. That’s all.

That is because they've hired so many folks that they ran out of cars and are now forced to double up.

Does anyone know if Maria Shriver got fined for her non-hands free cell phone violation spree?

I just got back from a Week in Inyo and Mono County and I saw 2, 2 man units on day shift out of the Bishop CHP Office.

No. TMZ cannot issue traffic citations yet.

I only see them in my area (eastern SD county) riding two man cars at night but not very often.

I have seen a number of two man cars recently but most have been at night.

In fact I was in a car (not driving) that was stopped by some CHP officers last month. (a two man car) I asked the Officer that contacted us on the driver side if there is a significance in their 2 man car....her said they were working a DUI suppression and that’s all they’re concerned about. Both VERY professional and cool.

                  I'm in East Ventura County.
