He was an overly enthusiastic kid who, I'm sorry to say, will probably never make it or never make it far because he will be burned out by the time he turns 21. It sounds harsh and like I don't want him to be successful, but it is probably what will happen. If not, then great for him! Dont want to jump the gun, but on another LEO forum there was a kid that posted who was pretty much obsessed with the job, ironically he was from east LA as well. He eventually stopped posting after being question by officers on why he wanted to by chp radios and duty gear.
