Foster City PD

Anyone other than sgttom (I've already heard his take...thanks sgttom!) know much about Foster City PD?

I've been invited to an oral board on Wednesday. It's several hours away and I'm tight on finances, so I'm trying to decide whether to go or not.

The HR person I spoke to told me they have only one spot open for sure. My career, thus far, has been less than stellar. Are they picky and if so, how picky?

A friend thinks I should go because you never know the make-up of the candidate pool you are competing against and they are going to hire someone.

I'd appreciate any input!

When I was applying to agencies a long time ago, I applied with Foster City. I did a ride along and I did not like their attitude towards stuff. I got the sense they aren't very proactive because they don't want to tick off their community. But, what can I really tell from one ride along?


It's a pretty small city. I'd get bored working there.
