Congrats! How long has the hiring process been for you since you took the written exam? Also was detentions/courts what you always wanted or did you apply for both law enforcement and detentions when you took the test? I took the test beginning of this month and only applied for law enforcement as that's what I really want. I'm having 2nd thoughts about not checking detentions though as that would get your foot in the door. Have they talked to you about how difficult it is to transfer into law enforcement?

Beagle25, once you're in backgrounds, you can add detentions/courts to your application. They, in fact, encourage it because it makes you more "available." I think that they prefer to send candidates with more real-word experience to the law enforcement academy. I'm going for law enforcement, but I did add on the detentions/courts once I met with my BI. Still, I'm 42. I must have had some real-world experience somewhere along the way, LOL.

Yesterday, I had my CVSA and Lt. interview, so I'm getting closer!

1. normally it's 0700-1600 but it can vary depending on the class.
