I've been checking up on Mesa PD still says accepting applications soon. Anyone know anythingi don't??

I e-mailed them in regards to this back on August 28th, this is the response that I received.

Hello Daniel, thank you for your interest in the Mesa Police Department. We have been on a hiring freeze for the past few months but it looks like we may be lifting the hiring freeze and getting back to doing some hiring. We are anticipating testing for the position of police officer recruit in September. I would encourage you to be diligent and check our website www.mpdjobs.com. The site will have the most up to date information and when the position opens applicants will be able to complete an online application.

FYI, I sent the recruitment team a follow-up email about the testing dates and got this response.

Daniel,

Thank-You for your interest in becoming a police officer with the Mesa Police Department. Unfortunately due to budget issues, we have been in a hiring freeze for almost a year. We recently received a Hiring Grant for 25 new officers and are hoping to have a test for Police Officer Recruit in the near future. We do not have an exact date from City Council just yet, but we should know something in the next couple of weeks. The link for the on-line application will be activated when the recruit position is opened. Unfortunately due to the high volume of e-mails we receive we cannot make personal notifications regarding testing dates. Please keep checking our website (www.mpdjobs.com) for updates regarding on-line application information and testing dates as they should be changing very soon. A list of all the Minimum Requirements for the Police Officer Recruit position are also on this site. Hopefully this will answer any other questions you have.
