Anyone with ADOC out there?

What do you think of the organization as a whole?
From the outside looking in it doesn't appear that MCSO and ADC are much different other than the pay and jail vs prison. Advancement and more opportunities at ADOC. Plus as a state DOC officer, you are weapons qualified in the academy and can carry concealed on your ID. Cant really say anything negative about working detention with MCSO other then working for that joke of a Sheriff.Comment

Hiring?
So I am sitting in a hotel room in Tucson (live Phoenix metro) waiting to take a PT test tomorrow and wondering if ADOC is hiring, I was told by a recruiter a month ago that they are but I wonder in this economy. Anyone have insider info.

Physical Training ADOC
FYI
If you plan on going with ADOC, train before you do the physical ability test. There were guys that didn't pass today and the requirements aren't difficult. (see below) Also, couple of guys didn't pass due to blood pressure.

Does anyone know when the next academy starts...I just did my Med Physical today, wondering if I will get in before Christmas.
