Doh...I've read that site beginning to end and forgot that was on there.

                  Thank you.

Also, I would like to ask a Detention Officer a question if there are any on here...

If i were to be a corrections officer, then after a year or two become a cop with MCSO....would my corrections time save me from having to work the jail when I become a deputy, or is it tough, still gotta start in Jails?
                      Lets keep it simple!

Deputies will usually do 12-18 months in the Court Security Division after graduating the Deputy Academy. You'll be escorting inmates to and from the Madison Street Jail to court and back, as well as standing security in court. The only exception is generally if you finish top in your class...then you go straight to the districts and patrol. Your past history as a Detention Officer/Corrections Officer won't matter.

You won't work in a custody assignment (in the jails doing headcounts, chow, etc.) as a Deputy.

The web site sends an error and says the certificate expired. Any Suggestions?

I applied this morning. It worked fine for me then and the site is still working fine.

                            Apply here.

I'm getting the expired certificate as well. I have a different application in with the Co. and it was fine on Friday. Weird.
