PT requirements during AST academy

A more specific questions is how long do recruits run for pt? I have an old injury from the military that comes back to haunt me if I run longer than two miles. I can do eveything else it's just long runs get to me. Also, I will be applying for a lateral spot, but not sure if they will accept my academy since it's less than the 400 hrs of classroom. Any one else have this issue?

Less than 400 hours, is an automatic "no-go" with APSC, you'll be doing a full academy not a lateral academy if you're hired.

I have this exact same question. My knees are also pretty worn from the military and prior knee surgery on my left knee. Any one know how much running would be involved in the academy? I know I can handle shorter runs no problem but long distance runs (for me >2 miles) every day particularly on hard surfaces worry me.

You will run. A lot.
