Distant testing locations

Do any of the Alaska Agencies offer distant testing? What I mean by this are there certain locations in the lower 48 where tests from Alaska can be administered, or done online (written test).

Anchorage will allow you to have the written test proctored in the lower 48, however the rest of the process must be completed in Alaska. You also must pay to have the test proctored out of your own pocket.

AST doesn't use a formal written test. The handwritten application is considered a test. If you make mistakes or it's incomplete you will be dq'd. You do your interview over the phone and then see if you get invited up for the other testing which is about 1 week.
