I don't forsee anything in the near future changing with hiring. It's gonna be an interesting 60 days though as we wait to see who gets elected as the next mayor and how AC Roper friendly they will be. Don't know much about what went on when Langford was with the county but since he's been the Mayor he's been 100% pro police.

Yup but remember, The Chief serves at the pleasure of the City Council. THere is no term. If this new mayor comes in....with the new council and decides they don't want him...poof he's gone.

well I believe that would be foolish for them to do. I can recall when he was name, people at Hoover spoke highly of him. I have never heard a cross word about him. I have always heard what a good man he was.

AC Roper is the best thing to have happened to this dept. He has brought about a number of great changes here. All of us are keeping our fingers crossed.
