4 AL State Troopers Fired

Malfeasance was the stated 'reason' for the firings, as the investigation is still ongoing. Anybody have any idea what Troop/Unit was involved? This is a tad bit shocking.

The read online the Colonel was quoted as saying that the troopers were in the same unit but their actions were not related.....whatever that means!

They were in the same unit. It was an isolated incident involving the four that were fired. I can't say anymore except that it was a bonehead decision.

ABC144, I happen to know very well one of the troopers that was let go. Man, what a shocker. This guy was a very dedicated trooper and good dad. I really don't understand why the top let them go. I heard what caused them to be fired but that is just one side. What the heck is malfeasance anyway?

Read in the Bham News a trooper was charged or indicted for a sex charge. The alleged offense took place while on duty on a traffic stop. I wonder about the other 3.
Come to think of it, Captain Kelly of the Bham post was fired about 2 years ago for allegations of sexual misconduct and he was charged but the case has all but disappeared. I wonder if the allegations did not hold up and the state fired him prematurely?

There was a Trooper in Perry County that was recently incicted for a sex crime. It was totally unrelated to the four that were recently fired. I not familiar with the Captain's case.

being a trooper myself, i am proud that our current powers at be are willing to take quick action instead of like most depts dragging things out for months and months.they were made aware of the wrong doings the first part of the week and they were let go by friday.yes, i am fully aware of what the guys did and as i said before, it serves no purpose to back and forth it over the internet.
