I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me if AHP works rotating or permanent shifts and also if they work 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts? I looked through some of the old threads and their website and did not see anything.

They work mainly day and evening shift with only a couple of cars per post working multiple counties on the night shift. They do not rotate shifts. The off days are hard to explain. Your days are rotating on and off until you are off every fourth or fifth weekend.
They won't be hiring for a while. No stimulus money and the state is sucking wind on the budget. -

To my knowledge, no state patrol agency got stimulus money. Only departments whose main function is POLICE work got stimulus bucks. Traffic priority agencies did not get any. My police agency did not get any because we didn't have enough murders, robberies, rapes, or assaults. Which is actually a good thing.Comment

6 on 2 off. 8 hrs. Schedule sucks, very little off time when you factor in court on off days and call out time (on call after you go home from regular shift)!Comment
