  • Out of state transfer

Does anyone know if AL accepts out of state transfers? I am certified in GA and may have to move to AL. Want to keep involved through a reserve program but dont want to have to go through the entire academy again if I can avoid it. Any info would be great. Thanks!!

There is something like an 80 hour program I think. Would depend on the dept, and APOST.

Very little patrol. Mostly state law, but many blocks of instruction were given by ADA's which made it interesting. Also, there was a block of instruction on crime scene and investigation given by a Birmingham PD detective which was pretty awesome. Title 13, defensive driving, firearms, and super easy PT test among the topics included.
