          Tulleran, I knew that! I just had a momentary gust of stupid blow through. Sorry.

              Come to think of it, if a suspect had ever said that to me (about a gust of stupid), I would have cut him/her every break in the book!

                      Hi all,

                      For Belgium:

                      We have a very complexe policeforce, due to the reorganistion of the old 2 forces: Rijkswacht-Gendarmerie and the Police.
                      So for the moment, a little bit of everything but for the weapons:

                      UZI 9mm
                      FN GP 9mm
                      Glock 9mm
                      MP5 9mm
                      Smith & Wesson .38
                      And I am sure I forgot a few....

                      For the vehicles: See my website, as I try to make a picture for every vehicle from another constructor.... but I sill have to place a few 100 picturesso for now only an idea......

                      For the badge, we don't have a metalic badge, only a plastic card, size of your VISA with picture, name and so on....

                          I noticed that most of members of officer.com are Americans. I don't feel very comfortable of this reason. I see I am the only Russian here. I feel shame that not so many Russian cops speak English. That's why I like to talk with foreign cops.

                            Jeez, Leka, give it time, its not that long ago since the Iron Curtain was raised and the Berlin Wall demolished.

                            Anyhow, stick with the Australians, we'll teach you proper English.

                            Cheers.

                              Welcome Leka, as a matter of fact all but a few Amerucans trace their roots to someplace else. In my case, all my Grandparents came to America from Russia, around 1916!
                              So, how about answering the questions at the start of this thread? Weapons, cars, badges, etc.

                              And John Kelly, Leka needs to learn American, not Ozzy!

                                Greetings from NSW, Australia;

                                General Duties Police in NSW are armed with;
                                * Glock 22, with New York trigger spring and tritium insert in the sights. Also in use is Glock 23 and 27 for some units.
                                * ASP expandable baton
                                * Oleoresin Capsicum spray, as we like to call it
                                * saflok and peerless handcuffs
                                * Locally made Hellweg level II body armour, although I have my own Zero G Platinum armour
                                * Level III overt armour with cermaic plate insert

                                There are a plethora of vehicle's used, but the most common for General Duties work is the Holden Rodeo, Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon.

                                Highway Patrol use either Ford Falcon XR8, Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo or Holden Commodore SS. Two SS's in link below.

                                All cars are leased by the Government and are in use around 6 to 10 months before being replaced, with somewhere around 60,000km on the odometer. Obviously busier areas will get their cars replaced sooner.
