    DHS Police

    I was walking in Penn Station the other day when i saw what looked to be a kid (maybe 20) with a vest on that said DHS and on the back said police. he looked to be in a bit of a rush so i didn't try to ask him anything but i want to know. how the hell did he get that job? i looked at usajobs. com and didnt see any hiring or tests avalible and was really curious as to what the requirements were and everything. if anyone has any information please let me know

    Because DHS includes several agencies and the use of the POLICE title tells me nothing it is difficult to answer this one.

    They could have been a USSS UD Officer, a USSS Agent, a FPS LESO or Special Agent, a USCG Agent, an Air Marshal, an agent with one of the TSA entities, etc, etc, etc.

    Going to need a bit more than a vest that said DHS and POLICE to narrow it down.

        I think youre referring to FPS possibly...Federal Protective Service. Their jurisdiction is all Federal buildings I believe. Seems zzzzz but I cant say for certain.

            CBP Feds at LAX

            So Ive never really seen these guys before; they are armed- assault rifles and sidearms. Ballistic vests with "CBP", "Field Operations Federal Officer" (FOFO?)
            Walking around L.A. Airport as terminal security.


            Are they the same classification CBP officers you see at POE's or USBP checkpoints?
