  • Why Don't Black Racists Have to Apologize?

How's come black racists never have the rocks to apologize when they are wrong:

Some examples which come to mind:
    • Jesse Jackson's comments condeming the Duke University polo players
    • Sharpton's comments regarding the Duke players
    • Reverend White's comments about "U, S, of KKK, A"
    • Barack Hussein Obama (not Osama's) comments, quoting favorably Rev. White's comments about "The White Man's Greed"
    • Barack Hussein Obama (not Osama's) comments about "Typical White People"
    • Julian Bond's various racist comments
    • Louis Farakan's multitude of racist, antisemetic comments
    • Jesse Jackson's slurs about Jews and "Himeytown," etc.
    • Al Sharpton's statements and activities leading to the 1991 race riots in Crown Heights where angry mobs murdered an innocent jewish man
    • Mary Berry claiming civil rights "aren't for white people" and hundreds of other racist comments

And on and on and on....

Point being, is it me? Objectively speaking, why are the rules different and the sin so much highrer, for caucasions who make stupid, hateful statements of racial or religious degradation? Just askin....

I'm still waiting for some white, inbred, trailer trash, with a 4.0, from some farm town in the south to sue the United Negro College Fund after being turned down.

Agreed, and I think people no matter their color can see this is true. I seriously think there are some minorities who think they're... entitled I guess, to be racist. I get it all the time and it's accepted as normal.

      Can't believe the hypocrisy...

Well for one, this topic was obviously started to stir the pot, judging by who started it. There will be no real conversation because if the choir isn't in session, he won't be preaching. Refer to the "Senor Obama" thread, specifically pages 8 and 9. So being that I'm a 'non-person', and he's an immature religious hypocrite, he won't respond to this post. So, this'll end up being the typical intellectual circle-jerk that he thrives on...

          Anyway!

I don't think racism of any kind is right but people in America with the attitude of "WHY ARE BLACK PEOPLE ALLOWED TO BE RACIST?!", "WHY IS THERE A BET BUT NOT A WET?!"...They...they just don't understand basic history or social structure. They have this jaded sense of history. As if minorities throughout American history weren't subjected to terrible treatment and racism backed by, sponsored by, enforced by the American Government...

Is that saying the Government is still racist or should still be hated and feared? No, but remember, 1964 was NOT even 50 years ago. Blatant racism and discrimination was on the books up until then. Throughout the 1900's up until the 1960's, racism was legally acceptable. So when your government is telling you your not equal, you have a tendency to...get mad. It takes longer than 50 years for the minds and the attitude of an entire group of people to change. And actually, if you look at the Black community, the tide is turning and we are tearing down the 'wall' of animosity held towards Whites and the world. The world in general is becoming more tolerant and open. And its not just race, its everything. Hell, gay-rights are the new thing and that DEF wouldn't have been considered just a short time ago...

Anyway, If your outlook on the Black community is shaped by watching Jesse Jackson and Sharpton and Farakhan on FOX news, you might just be retarded. For one thing, all three of these people have long been self-mockeries and they are rapidly becoming irrelevant not only in general society but the Black community as well. Aside from that, Jackson, Sharpton and Farakhan, to the best of my knowledge, are people upon their own bearings. Who cares what they have to say? They're excercising freedom of speech...

The KKK can and does still hold rallys, David Duke can teach his hate, Jerry Falwell was able to teach his hate, etc, etc, etc. So who cares what random Black people have to say? Nobody elected Sharpton or Jackson or Farakhan as Black leaders. Just because someone constantly gets followed around with a camera and is GIVEN attention, that doesn't mean they are a leader. I mean, what do you want people to do here? Jesse and Al and these guys are looked down upon by large segments of society and many people have been calling for their heads. But guess what, when you want a private citizen to be held accountable for being racist, who do you go to? Their boss? Well, as soon as we find out where Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are employed, maybe we'll go there. I mean, its not clear what kind of action you want taken here considering Sharpton and Jesse's citizen status in this country. And FYI, why is Farakhan even in this discussion? He represents a radical Islamic sect, isn't he irrelevant here?

LOL and you brought up Reverend Wright, for what? Who is he? WHY would he be 'held accountable' for anything? Is it a CRIME to be a racist? No. And if it is, 75% of America is going to jail. But YES, Wright has been held accountable, he has been condemned by news networks (even the "LIB'RAL MEEEEDIA!), politicians, the general public that won't vote for Obama because of him, etc. OBVIOUSLY the mass verdict of him is guilty. So what more do you want people to do besides that? Tar and feather him on the steps of the US Capital? I mean, what the hell are you talking about? What body of government/people/militia is suppose to 'handle' things like someone expressing their opinion? He's already faced public outlash and disdain, what more can be done to a private citizen with a racist opinion? Since you cried about the problem, give us the solution...

As far as Obama, I'm not touching that. For you, talking about him is more effective than any Viagra could ever be so I'll let you have your kicks some other time. I'll just say, if Trent Lott could make racist comments and STILL be an electable politician...if STROM THURMOND could be an OPEN racist, support and write BLATANTLY racist legislation and run on a racist presidential platform and STILL be a politician until his death in 2003...then don't use Obama as your example of "racism in politics". Because obviously, kid, you don't know your history. To further prove you don't know your history, you do realize there is an active US Senator who was a leader in the KKK, right? But gee, you're right, Obama's "typical white person" remark is on a much deeper level, right? Please, know your history, then try to form an opinion...

And trooper, I'll save you the response time. Because I know you won't focus on the valid points dismissing your typically inaccurate, terribly biased opinion, you'll focus on me being "Sooo mean...so nasty" and other things high-school girls cry about. So, here you go:

          "YOU GODLESS LA'BRAL! blah blah blah...shhh, did I hear a non-person? "

Oh and p.s., this is a thread about the 'bad' Black people. Normally when you discuss race, you make it a point to bring up the good ol' boys like Larry Elder and Alan Keyes. Come on, your slipping!

What's Alan Keyes up to now anyway? I so him speak when I was in HS, always thought he was kept outside the circle, so to speak.

Probably shining shoes somewhere. I don't like the guy for a lot of reasons. Just a terrible, judgmental human-being. Another Fake-Christian who spews hate and uses religion as a shield...

But the main reason to dislike him, is his much publicized embarrassing defeat to Obama. Remember the Illinois Senate Race in 04? The spot was vacant so Obama was the Democratic candidate and the Republicans needed someone so who did they send? A random, non-citizen of the state. None other than Alan Keyes, of course. Why? It surely wasn't his politics. Moreso because he was Black and Obama was Black so they figured...why not?! And thats not even the funniest part. It was Keyes who had chastised Hilary Clinton for running for Senate in a state she didn't live in, calling her the problem with politics, etc. Then, when the GOP tells him to load up the baggage and go run for Senate in a state he doesn't live in, like a good ol' boy, he went running. Luckily, the people of Illinois recognized this and soundly voted against him. A huge margin with Obama getting 70% of the votes...

It did happen in University of California Regents v Bakke (1976)

Alan Bakke, a White engineer with high grades, applied to several medical schools in the hopes of one day becoming a doctor. Bakke was rejected by all of the schools he applied to but the University of California at Davis encouraged him to apply again. The next year Bakke again applied and was again rejected. Bakke then found out that the University's affirmative action program reserved 17 places for minority candidates regardless of qualifications. Bakke sued the University claiming that he was the victim of "reverse discrimination." The university argued that the creation of quotas was needed to ensure minority admission to college under their affirmative action program.

In a two part ruling the court ordered Bakke to be admitted to medical school. The court ruled that Bakke had, in fact, been discriminated against. The court did, however, uphold the legality of affirmative action programs. The court cited Harvard Universities affirmative action program that created guidelines for admission rather than strict quotas.

Bakke was publicly vilified and subjected to numberous threats against his life as the result of bringing his suit.

I completely understand what you're saying DaLAW, and I'm not denying there's racism against blacks, or that racism against whites is anything worse. Im just addressing the point of the apathy faced when there IS racism against whites. It seems it doesn't matter and no apology is necessary. In my personal experience anyway...

I understand that point but to me, the examples that were listed such as Jesse, Al, Farakhan, they don't matter for the aforementioned reasons. They are Black men with wild opinions who happen to be on TV. Its like going to some backwoods rally and putting a mic in Jeb-the-Klansman face and then someone wondering "Why aren't they held accountable?!". I mean, WHO is suppose to 'hold them accountable' for being racist? They are just expressing their opinion, albeit a racist one. The government can't censor them. The public can demand an apology or disagree with the opinion or write a scathing editorial about them, etc. ALL of that has been done with Jesse, Al and Farakhan. But just because people want an apology, that doesn't mean they will get one. And if Jesse or Al or Farakhan DON'T apologize, what are you gonna do? They don't hold government office, they don't work for anybody but themselves...

It would be like if Batman came out and said "I hate Black people and won't rescue them". A citizen of Gotham City can't say "I'm going to write a letter to your boss". Batman doesn't have a boss. The citizen can't say, "I'm going to write to Congress". Batman has freedom of speech just like everyone else. (YES! That movie was so kick-***** I had to use Batman in a political discussion). So just because someone hasn't apologized or given some fake-Imus like apology that doesn't mean they have a 'free pass' in the court of public opinion. And since we know these guys haven't been given a free pass, I think it breaks down the point suggested with this thread, that in being, Black racism is accepted in society...

I mean look at Michael Richards aka Kramer from "Seinfeld". He said some racist stuff in a night club about Black people. Terrible stuff. And he apologized and went to 'therapy'. BUT, if he DIDN'T do that stuff, there would have been NOTHING anybody could have said about him. He couldn't go to jail for being racist. He couldn't be 'fired' for being a racist because he's a freelance worker. He's a private citizen, just like Al and Jesse. AND, he would still be doing stand-up as long as he had an audience. THATS why Al and Jesse are able to continue because they have an audience. As long as the media puts a camera in their face, they will be able to exist. The media is a business, controversy sells, Al and Jesse and them create controversy. Thats how the game works. Thats not America 'supporting' "Black racism", thats idiots like them being shoved down our throats because tension and anger and hate is a strong-selling point...
