Relax, prop your boots up and share some good ole' cooking recipes

    Poor Man's Hamburger Steak

    3 pounds ground beef

    25 saltine crackers, crushed

    1 cup milk

    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

3 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, crackers, milk, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Form 6 or 8 large beef patties, and place in a 9x13 inch baking dish, or other shallow casserole dish. Pour the condensed soup evenly over the top of the patties, and sprinkle canned mushrooms over the top. Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil.
3.Bake for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until beef patties are well done.

    Great with mashed potatoes too!

Can do this same recipe in a mixing bowl and a microwave if you are lazy
Just leave out the aluminum foil

Bacon & Onion Foil Packet Potatoes
    2 to 3 sheets of heavy-duty foil
    1 packet onion soup powder
10-12 baby red potatoes, thinly sliced
12 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon
1 small onion thinly sliced and diced
    1 cup cheese (optional)
    Salt and pepper to taste
    3 tablespoons butter
    Sour cream for serving (optional)
Spray each sheet of foil with cooking spray. Top each piece with equal portions of potatoes, bacon, 1 packet onion soup powder and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to each serving. Wrap securely.
Grill for 20 to 30 minutes. Or you can bake it in the oven, at 350° for about 35 minutes or till done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve in foil, topped with sour cream if desired

      Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers:

      25 fresh jalapeno peppers
      14 -16 ounces cream cheese
      2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
      2 (16 ounce) packages bacon

Cut stems off of peppers and cut them all in half long ways.
      Remove seeds from peppers.
Fill each pepper with cream cheese and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each pepper half.
Place on baking sheets and place in 450 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked.
      Remove and serve when cooled.

      Enjoy!

            Crab Dip

            3 packs of cream cheese

            8 oz of crab meat

            1 TB Horseradish

            1 Onion, diced

            2 TB milk

            Salt and pepper to taste

Nuke the cream cheese in a microwave for about 20 seconds to soften just enough to stir. Put it in a bowl with the chopped onions, horseradish, milk, and salt/pepper and blend together.

Be careful with the crab meat but then blend it in with the cream cheese gently.

Bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes depending on your oven. It should start to brown on top a little when it's ready.
