  • The gunstore shelves...what's it like where you are?

Well, it's started already. Just stopped in at the local gun store, after lunch, to say 'Hi!' to the owner/other local PD chaplain. Her shelves were bare of .223, .308, 7.62X39 - the distributor advised that prices had doubled, overnight. Four of the eight AR-15's remained, with no guaruntee as to when she'll get any more and she was told "No AK's available, at all!" It's like four years ago, all over again.
"You're never fully dressed without a smile."

Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

Three things I know for sure: (1) No bad deed goes unrewarded, (2) No good deed goes unpunished, and (3) It is entirely possible to push the most devoted, loyal and caring person beyond the point where they no longer give a 5h!t.

And yet, in the last four years or during the campaign there has not been one single mention of new gun control laws.

Never underestimate the power of right-wing paranoia. I guess I will have to put off buying that new upper for my ar-15. Oh well, in six months to a year people will figure out that they stockpiled all of those guns for nothing and everything will be back to the normal price.

I'm waiting for that response from Conservatives.

I think Obama will finally assume his role as supreme commander and dissolve the Republican controlled House and gridlocked Senate so he can finally pass all those gun control laws.
This show is awesome, wrapped in supercool and smothered in bitchin. The only way it could be cooler is if he was riding a unicorn or something.

So exactly how will Obama damage our gun rights?

Haha that was just a cynical comment. A post previous said those exact words about what the conservatives on this board were going to say. So I just copied and pasted. A dry attempt at humor.

                      Okay, but just for you.

Q: Does the Obama administration intend to “force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for U.S. citizens” through a United Nations treaty?

A: No. The administration plans to negotiate a treaty to regulate the international export and import of weapons. It says that it won’t support any treaty that regulates the domestic transfer or ownership of weapons, or that infringes on the Second Amendment.

Plus it would take a 2/3 vote by the Senate for he or any other President to do that. Highly unlikely it would ever pass, or even get to the floor for a vote.

Yep. That much I do know. I also know the NRA is up in arms about it though. I will have to look further into it to see if there might be any "loopholes" in the treaty.

I can't wait to buy someone's brand new gun at half of cost. Even though Obama won the puppet chair the red puppet masters control one half and the blue puppet masters control the other. No new gun control laws for at least two years.

That can't be TRUE ! isn't Obama the "socialist america hatin', freedom strippin' , gun takin' moos' lum!!???!!! Isn't that what we were(LIED TO) about by the Tea baggers???

thanks for posting this retired- regardless of the party, no U.S. president is going to "take( or even try) to take guns away from U.S. citizens, especially since the major gun companies EMPLOY U.S. citizens( tax loss right there)
