Michigan Dems charged in fake tea party scandal

Two Michigan Democrats were arraigned Wednesday on election corruption charges for allegedly propping up of fake tea party candidates in 2010, the Detroit News reports.

Former Democratic Party Chairman Michael McGuinness (right) and ex-operations director Jason Bauer have been charged with forgery, putting people up for office without their knowledge and other charges. The two party leaders allegedly conspired to field phony tea party candidates in an apparent bid to siphon off GOP votes and boost Democrats in two Michigan County Commission races and a state Senate race last year, according to the newspaper. Several of the charges are felonies, some of which carry penalties of up to 14 years in prison.

McGuinnes and Bauer resigned their positions in August. News reports indicate they have not commented on this week's charges.

Last year, as tea party power grew across the country, tea partiers began accusing Democrats and others of using their party label to run fake candidates and skew elections. A lawsuit was filed in Florida last year where Democrats, including then-Rep. Alan Grayson, were accused of creating a Florida Tea Party.

Really, Democrats engage in election fraud, get caught and this is how you excuse their actions?

            Shocking, just shocking…

            Ok, not really.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Business as usual. Progressives are only upset because they got caught.

"Three more ACORN chapters were charged with voter fraud.' How's that?

Really didn't happen yet, but it's coming soon I'll bet.

Meanwhile, no Tea Party gathering has engaged in any criminal behavior nor have they resorted to violence.

Heare are two versions of the same story.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office said it arrested Eric Fuller, 63, who was wounded in the knee a week ago in the shooting rampage that killed six and wounded 13. He was being held Saturday for alleged threats of intimidation and disorderly conduct and will undergo a mental-health evaluation. [...]

Toward the end of the taping, [Christiane] Amanpour brought up the issues of gun safety and mental health. As one member of the audience stood up and expressed his support for gun ownership, Fuller, seated near the front in an area reserved for victims and special guests, appeared increasingly frustrated and agitated.
Fuller then swiveled in his chair, raised his camera and took a photo of the pro-gun speaker, muttering, "You're dead," according to Joel Tranter, who was sitting behind him.
                        -
Sixty-three-year-old James Eric Fuller, who was shot during last week's shooting in Arizona and survived, was arrested following a town-hall meeting yesterday for taking a picture of tea party leader Trent Humphries and yelling, "You're dead!" Fuller apparently became upset after Humphries suggested that conversations about gun control be delayed until all the victims of the shooting were buried. The event was taped for a special edition of ABC’s This Week. Fuller was detained on misdemeanor disorderly conduct and threat charges. Deputies decided he needed a mental-health evaluation, and he was taken to a hospital, which will determine when he will be released.

Yes I believe it and it's about time you realized it.
It's OK! It's takes some special people longer to get it.

Actually, if you goggle "arrests at Tea Party gatherings", there are some. The ones arrested are Progressives acting up.

Also, there have been no arrests of Tea party folks who are cited for voter fraud which seems to be an ongoing problem for Progressives. But that's the big different between those two classes of people. One is criminal.

you now say... "there have been no arrests of Tea party folks who are cited for voter fraud"
that's quite a bit more restrictive than your first "Meanwhile, no Tea Party gathering has engaged in any criminal behavior "
