I only brought this up because when folks use the word" media" the verb usually has an "s", as in the media is, has, does when I think it should be are, have and do.

I always thought the media were a "they", not an "it".
I'm just kidding with you, wasn't trying to be serious. Though I do pay attention to the posts of 'us' regulars.
To me, the word 'media' is a derogatory description of a rotten group of people.

You can bet that supporters of this administration will see nothing wrong with this type of arrangement - no conflict of interest, no outrage that the media's agenda is NOT in reporting unbiased truth but in pushing a specific political ideology to the American public.

    Definitely barf worthy news...

Alleged state control of media does not equate to communism. Plenty of right wing governments have strictly suppressed/controlled the media as well.

I would agree with this totally. However, even politics has a foundation of fact to it. Debating health care, clean energy, immagration, gun control and any other subject will stir up a debate with a basis of facts but thick with opinion.

Hey Jasper the libs don't actually watch Fox it's just that Obammy said that Fox is always on his butt. The libs can't stand to get into a real discussion. I work right next to one and when I make a comment the arguement I get is "Well we have to do something".

Foxs gives you the Right and then the Radical crazy right. However, the bad thing is the radical crazy right is not a news segment it's an opinion piece cherry picking information from both sides of the Aisle to inflame the debate on whatever topic they are discussing.

The only time any of the 24 hour stations are at middle ground is when a national event happens. Death, War, or a major incident, celebrity trail or arrest. Then they put their extreme sides away for the night.

Good point. FOX gives you the left and right view, CNN gives you the left and left.

Well all I have to say is it's about time you left. This closet was way too small for sharing with others and it was way too crowded.

Now all I have to do is sort through these clothes and toss the old stuff. I mean, who even wears these old leisure suits and old bowling shirts anymore- why keep them.... and all of these old wire hangers gotta go also... along with those old tie-dyed shirts.

Pretty soon, this will be a nice little hidey-hole!

I'm biased and am proud of it! There, I'm out of the closet. Free at last. But I was born this way, I've always known that I had opinions and some people still try to shame me into silence.

Some people confuse political commentators with so called news reporting. The op-ed stories are now on the front page.
