Your Republican government just now bailed out banks with taxpayer's money to the tune of $80 Billion, and is now asking congress to fork over another $800 Billion. Why are the banks in the current shape they are in? I think if you look at the problem, you'll find it was laws passed by Democrats that created the problem. Laws that pandered to the "underprivileged"... "the poor folks who can't afford to buy a house"... etc, etc. I really enjoy watching people lay this problem at Bush's feet.

The Democrats order a re-writing of common loan practices so they can create another entitlement program and when it falls apart due the what the industry said amounted to unsafe, high risk loans, we blame Bush. Gotta love it.

There's that love we've been missing. So, there is a "waiting period" - like when you buy a gun in a socialist state - before which the changing of an opinion means you must be a "LIAR?"

There is no specific time frame, but after going on two national tv shows, and saying the EXACT opposite of what you had said less than 24 hours, it is obvious what is going on.

Finally, McCain came out this week as a pro regulator. That is amazing because he has been a de-regulator for the past 25 years. Again he is just saying whatever he can to get elected. The man is 71 years old, and has had the same position on regulation for over 25 years. Don't tell someone that old, with the same position over that large amount of time, all of a sudden has changed his mind on regulation. Of course you will try to spin it, or distract the issue, by using Barack's middle name.

I'm guessing those are the people you claim he is taking away from right??????? If he is taking money from those people (the one's making over 250k), and giving to those who "contribute nothing" (which would have to mean those making less than 250k by what you wrote), that would include military members. Like I said, except for high ranking generals, military members make less than 250k a year (you can google military pay charts, if you don't believe me). I'm sure you didn't mean military, I'm just showing how dumb you sounded, by claiming those making less than 250k a year contribute nothing to the country.

Thank you. You've done a nice job of pointing out the similarity between the dems and the repubs, and how they'll destroy our economy, and our way of life with their Socialist plan. As I've always stated, they are a two-headed goat, neither of which is good for our country.

Pretty far reach there, but I'll play. You want to say Obama's plan only increases taxes for those making over $250K. I disagree.

The question that arises is this:

I am married and my family's combined income is about $150K. Not bad for a cop (and retired military person ).

What impact is Obama's plan going to have on me?

Any impact due to higher prices which will happen if he taxes per his plan?

Any impact due to the tax credits proposed that give also money to those who earn nothing and don't contribute one red penny to our country because they are already sucking off those of us who pay taxes (I'm talking about the people earning money from entitlement programs that establish a good voter base for Obama but drain the wealth of America)?

And where is this money for the tax credits coming from? Wait a minute. I'll pay you some money. Then, you'll give me back some of it. WTF? It's a shell game. It makes no sense.

Higher costs due to taxes being paid by the over $250K crowd will be funded by all of us. The taxes won't be paid by those people without affecting us. It sounds good, but the tax will be passed down. You (providing you actually earn any money) will ultimately pay those.

Higher corporate taxes to pay for his health plan? You and I will pay that either through inflated prices or smaller wage increases. The only winners in Obama's plan are the entitlement folks who pay nothing. He can sugar-coat it and say he's helping the middle class all he wants. He's lying... or omitting what he knows the end result will be so he can rope in the middle class. Omissions are another form of lies.

And my main problem with the plan is that it's socialism. Not an American value. Socialism is the art of giving money earned by some to those who earn less or those who earn nothing.

In 2006, there were 135,660,228 tax returns filed. 43,362,718 of those returns had a zero or negative tax liability. I wasn't one of them. I paid taxes. Over 50% of the taxes were paid by the top 5% income earners. Us middle class folks paid the rest. Married taxpayers pay roughly 75 percent of all federal income taxes, despite filing only 40 percent of returns. If you want true tax relief, the whole system needs to be changed. Taxing a small segment of the public isn't change, it's regression. And the ulimate cost on all of us will leave us worse off.
